Galitzenklamm Gorge Water Experience Trail
Just a few metres before the entrance to the Galitzenklamm Gorge the adventure begins! The Water Experience Trail proceeds along Galitzenklamm Gorge, through forest initially, passing rugged cliff faces up to the viewing platforms. Spectacular bridges provide access to and an insight into a breath-taking nature scene.
Summer toboggan run Osttirodler
In summer you can hear loud cheers on the Hochstein. "Tobogganers" whiz with the "Osttirodler" a whole 2.7 km from the Moosalm over the Lienz Castle Hill directly to the finish line of the Hochstein Arena. Important when being on the way: Due to the overportion of fun, do not forget to enjoy the completely new view of Bruck Castle. Also the view, which offers itself on the city of Lienz should be completely savored.
Adventure Golf Lienz
The Adventure Golf Lienz facility is located between the Moosalm and the Lienz Climbing Park. The "Osttirodler" summer toboggan run also runs right next door down to the car park of the mountain railways. If you wish, you can take the gondola from the car park directly to the area.
Family Park Zettersfeld
Get into the gondola and up to Zettersfeld! Along the way you will find 15 adventure play stages. All of them invite to play and romp or to relax, with interesting information on the 15 occurring animals being shared. The adventure story of the family park’s mascot "Steiner Mandl" makes the stages come to life with a little imagination and guarantees an exciting day on the Zettersfeld.
Burg Heinfels, Schloss Bruck, Aguntum - Experience Culture
If you are interested in cultural experiences, you should definitely visit Heinfels Castle. This medieval castle sits majestically on a hill and offers a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape.
Another highlight is Bruck Castle, the museum of the town of Lienz. Here you can admire a collection of regional art and historical artefacts.
If you want to delve even deeper into history, we recommend a visit to Aguntum, a Roman settlement from the 1st century.
Skiing holiday in Osttirol
Plenty of space on the slopes, fantastic panoramic views and no waiting time at the lifts.
When it comes to skiing, the slopes of East Tyrol impress with their special quality. There are seven ski areas in the region, offering everything from easy slopes for beginners to sporty World Cup slopes. Skiers and snowboarders also appreciate the high snow reliability and the many sunny days.
The 2 skiing areas of the Lienzer Bergbahnen - Hochstein and Zettersfeld - are only 15 minutes by car from the Obergollerhof.
The Sillian Hochpustertal ski centre can be reached by car in 25 minutes.
At the Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei and the St. Jakob ski centre, you can take your turns in the snow after a 45-minute drive.
The Obergollerhof is the ideal starting point for wonderful skiing experiences in East Tyrol.
Mountain winter in Osttirol
Even if you are not an avid skier, there are many winter sports activities you can try here.
Popular activities are ski tours and snowshoe hiking. Here you can explore the untouched nature of East Tyrol on your own or join a guided tour. Both are great ways to enjoy the beautiful landscape and do sports at the same time.
Adrenaline junkies get their money's worth with ice climbing. Here you climb frozen waterfalls and icicles under expert guidance. An exciting challenge for all those who love the feeling of adrenaline.
If you want to take it a little easier, you can also take a horse-drawn sleigh ride through the snow-covered forests and valleys or go tobogganing on one of the many toboggan runs, some of which are illuminated.
And if you want to improve your fitness, you can work off your energy on one of the countless cross-country ski trails. East Tyrol offers a wide range of trails, from beginner's routes to challenging trails.
The rustic huts in East Tyrol offer you a place to stop after a long day. You can taste your way through the local dishes there and end the day with a warm drink.
